[Evolution] Applying filters to IMAP folders

Hello,

I have created an Evolution filter using spamassassin to move spam mail
to special folder. It works well - when I right-click on mail and select
"Apply filters", the mail is processed (spam mail is moved to the
specified folder).

However, the filter is not applied automatically for all incoming
messages. I use IMAP server. I've read from FAQ that the filter should
be applied when I enter the INBOX folder of the IMAP mail folder.
However, this doesn't seem to be the case. I expect any new spam mail to
get automatically moved to spam folder when I activate the INBOX. This
doesn't happen. However, the mail *is* moved when I manually "Apply
filters" to the mail.

Can anybody help me out?

I'm using Evolution 1.2.4 on Mandrake 9.
