It could be. I don't use Gnome at all, so I don't know much about it. Are you suggesting that it's Gnome 2 in SuSE 8.1, but evo 1.2.4 is still looking in the Gnome 1 prefs for file associations? How can I tell if it's Gnome 1 vs 2? There's nothing obvious on the desktop when I log on with Gnome.
