[Evolution] Import gcrd files

Has anyone had any luck importing GnomeCard files into Contacts? I just
get a generic "error loading" file message and nothing is imported.
This is when I try importing a "single file".
When I try to import from an "older program" and choose GnomeCard
address book, nothing happens.
I am using Evolution 1.2 on RedHat 8.0 and Gnome 2.
