[Evolution] Can I get REPLY to look in the Contacts database for Text/HTML preference?

When I reply to someone already in my contact list I get
told that they will not accept HTML.  This despite the
fact that they are marked as preferring HTML in their
contact list entry.  A bug or a setting I'm overlooking?
