[Evolution] where to start debugging?

when i load a certain mail from an IMAP server (exchange's IMAP,
specifically), evolution always hangs with "Loading message content..."
i'm tired of this and would like to debug it. where should i start?
there's no crash or core to speak of -- just a hang.
