[Evolution] problem with tunneled imap

A small problem: for about 3 weeks, when useing the "send/receive"
button, the first press usually (that is almost all the time) gives an
error ~ "whilst scanning imap server ... service unexpectedly
disconnected".  It seems to be a timeout as my connections are tunneled
to a remote imap server and there is a slight delay whilst the tunnel is
(re)established.  As well, the auto-check for new mail only works as
long as the tunnel remains up (i.e., other apps use it as well for
various things) 

This started on a stable (anon cvs) setup some 3 weeks ago, is anyone
else seeing this?

Using anonymous CVS being built almost daily.
