[Fwd: Re: [Evolution] Spell Check]

Thanks. I downloaded these and installed through RedCarpet - funny
thing is it crashed when trying to install all three of them...

I'll try one at a time and see where the problem is.

OK - I tried intalling aspell through RedCarpet and again it crashed. I
then went to the files in a shell and did a simple rpm -i installation
on all three - and they were all already installed. After rebooting I
still have no spell check. Any other ideas?

Hi John,

I have the following installed:

aspell-0.33.7.1-ximian.2
gnome-spell-0.4-ximian.1
pspell-0.12.2-ximian.3

Those versions are available from:

ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/2/ximian/ximian-gnome/redhat-71-i386/

I'm not sure if I got them there or from Red Carpet.

I hope that helps.

I think that all I did was install aspell, gnome-spell, and pspell (via
Red Carpet) and it worked.

Is there a simple guide for adding spell check capabilities anywhere?
I've asked a few different people and never got an answer that ended in
my having spell check capabilities.

I'm running RedHat 7.2 with XG...
