Evolution 1.0.x can't talk to a normally-configured Windows 2000 Active
Directory at all, so if they're using Exchange 2000, you lose. (This
will be fixed in Evolution 1.2, which will provide better
configurability for how to authenticate to the server.)

If they're using Exchange 5.5, you just need to know the name of the
exchange server. Set the "account name" in the addressbook sources
dialog to whatever you want, give the server name, and in the "advanced"
pane, set the search base to "sub" rather than "one". That *should*
work. If it doesn't, you'll need to get the the "search base" to use
from the admin, which will probably be something like "o=Company Name"
or "ou=Subdivision,o=Company Name".
