Re: [Evolution] Evolution 1.2.1 -> Can't connect over IMAPS?

Indeed, I selected "Always use" SSL.

I have also tried "When possible", but the results were the same.

How have you specified ssl, using "always use", in the server setup
page?

BTW which port was the connection established on?

Hi,

I upgraded today to 1.2.1. Closed evolution, ran Killev, etc.

After the upgrade was finished, Evolution remained blocked on
"Re-connecting to IMAP server..."

netstat told me the connection was "Established", but nothing was
happenning. tcpdump showed absolutely no activity between my machine and
the server.

As a test, I killed the whole thing, renamed ~/evolution to something
else and started evolution.

Filled in the wizard, and then, when I get to the server type screen, I
pressed, as usual, the "Check supported types" for the IMAP connection.
My IMAP server only accepts IMAPS, but evolution seemed not to even try
connecting. tcpdump confirmed this.

Out of curiosity, I changed my server type to POP3 and then I could see
that it was trying to connect, without success, since my server does not
support it.

Changed it back to IMAP, set the "Use SSL" to Always and filled in the
rest of the "wizard".

Once finished setting it up, the client would go back to "Re-connecting
to IMAP server". tcpdump showed me it was trying to connect using IMAP
instead of IMAPS, which is contrary to what I defined in my account.

And now I can't go back to 1.2.0, so I'm back using KMail and I have no
calendar for today...

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Nuno
