Re: [Fwd: [Evolution] Yet another annoying bug: focus behavior]

Dan,

I would be surprised if it is. I've been running Enlightenment 0.16 for
a quite a long time and I haven't seen this behavior in any other
application before. Even my window focus behavior is set to
click-to-focus (if that were the issue). But it's not the window focus
that's the problem - it's the particular To: field widget that loses
focus...widget focus follows the pointer sloppily. For example, if I'm
typing here and I move the pointer to the Subject field, text typed
begins to appear in the Subject field instead of the body.

Are you sure it's not a window manager issue? That's certainly my first
guess. I don't see this problem (Sawfish 1.0).

Could someone respond to this? IMO it is a significant issue that should
be addressed before 1.0 is out. Possibly the problem could be a
misconfiguration of gtk/gnome libraries on my computer, but I haven't
even messed with gnome control for a good deal of time so I don't see
why...I have upgraded with every snapshot that was released. The focus
behavior is enough to discourage any user from using this product.

Haven't checked to see if this has been fixed in the latest cvs snapshot.

In the compose window, widget focus follows the mouse pointer sloppily.
Which means that if I move my mouse off the To: field while typing
addresses, the field loses focus. It is incredibly irritating.
