[Evolution] imap problems

i have really often this problem:

i do something on the imap folders (copy some mails from this to that or
so, i can't actually tell what specially i am doing) and then i have:


scanning folders in "IMAPv4 server svie001.ngit.at" and the email
component +is hanging... 

this in the statusbar. and then i have to close evolution, make a killev
and wait a few minutes, then it is working again.

what's the problem, anybody can help me?
