Proof of it is here, as I have now deleted a fair amount of the included text...I would gladly switch to Evo full-time, and WILL, as soon as I can get it to a) sync my addressbook with my Palm, and b) quit hanging for hours on end. :-) Regards, dg Eric Lambart wrote:
Really, Netscrape lets you do that? Presumably Mozilla would too... I wish I'd known that while I was still stuck using that monstrosity. Thanks to Evo I haven't had to start Mozilla Messenger in a month or two... and this one feature isn't enough to make me do it. I'd rather edit my mbox file woth vi =) Thanks for your $0.02 --Eric On Wed, 2001-09-05 at 08:47, David (Demo Monkey) Simmons wrote:With the exception of the fact that I can (and do, quite frequently) do this with Netscrape Messenger... Very handy for removing that oh-so-cute but exceptionally annoying ascci-art from sigs, etc....
That being said, you may want to look into using a combination of Fetchmail and Procmail as a pre-filter to do all the message 'surgery' that you want. Procmail is significantly more powerful than what most people use it for (dropping spam and auto-forwarding things).I have just a little question. I would like to change the subject and the content of some messages are receive. Say to put a subject that will fit to my mind and at least remove footer/signatures 10 lines long.
