  This is a known issue, and I am pretty sure there is a bug on Bugzilla about it (although, I don't have it at hand now).

  I think this can be addressed in a post-1.0 timeframe, by changing the way views are handled.  It's not too complicated, but it requires refactoring a non-trivial amount of code.
