There's already another open bug with a similar problem.

In that its that the network dies (e.g. you unplug a laptop network)
without going offline first.

This sounds like an easier way to reproduce the problem though.  As
I hadn't got far with the other one (took too long to timeout).

The "broken pipe" is certainly an IMAP issue, I agree.
But the part about duplicate mails is probably not. I think it's an Evo
bug, and that's what I'm interested about.

I've got a bug open on the duplicate mail from an IMAP server. I'm
trying to collect info on it now. The bug report is sletchy at best. You
can add your observations to it at=20

I'm not 100% sure it is related to multiple instances of Evo accessing
the same IMAP server, since I think I only had 1 instance running whne
I've seen it.
