As far as I know, .1 was linked again the libcapplet from Ximian Preview. .2 is linked against the libcapplet in Ximian GNOME. Basically, .1 works if you use the beta control center and .2 works if you use the stable control center. I think Ximian did the right thing, but should now link a version of gnome-pilot against the libcapplet in ximian preview and put that in ximian preview, so that everyone is happy.
