Re: [Evolution] password bug

Hrm. I think it is (sort of) the expected behavior. I also think it's
pretty much a dup, but I can't find the original. Please file a new one,
and note the specific reason why you'd like it to behave in this way.
Thanks.

Hi,
I ran into a big bug with evolution this weekend.
I use an imap account with my university and they have me
change password every 6 months. They also have it set
so that if I fail to authenticate 20 times in a row
they block my account and I have to call.

I have evolution save my password for my imap account.
On Friday I changed my password and then opened evolution.
I figured it will try to access once, not be able to
get in and then give me the message the password is wrong
or something. Instead evolution tried to authenticate
more than 20 times before I could kill it or hit the
forget password button.

This happened both with evolution RC 1 and RC 2.
Meaning I got my account blocked a second time, because
I thought all I have to do is erase the .gnome_private/Evolution
file and it would ask me for my password but that didn't
work either.

I hope this is not the expected behavior?
Should I file a bug?
Platy
