Martin,
I have been experiencing this for quite some time - I have sent in
traces and the like, but have not heard of any solution. What I do is
kill all active oaf processes, and then start evo. Its getting old
having to start it this way, but I'm sure they are looking into it.
Quick question - did you install either the CodeWeaver Cross-over
program or the latest Sun Java jre? Ever since I installed these I've
had this problem, and unistalling them didn't help.
When I upgraded my rh7.1/ximian box to rh7.2/ximian, I couldn't start
Evolution or Mozilla. Evolution would pop up with that exact error
message.
Turns out after much grief, it was a screwed up install of the
libnspr4-0.9.5-ximian.1 package. I had to re-install that package (rpm
-ivh --replacefiles --force) and the mozilla main package.
Then mozilla started working *AND* more importantly, evolution started
working just fine.
Now I'm just having troulbe getting Red Carpet to work with ximian being
way, way too busy with everyone downloading evo. :-(
