You're user account doesn't have permissions to write to /var/spool/mail
and therefore can't put a lockfile there (which is where it needs to put
it). You can get around this by chmod'ing the directory to 777 or by
adding yourself to the mail group (assuming it's your personal system).
If not, then you'll probably need to recompile Evolution with movemail
support.
