[Evolution] CVS - can't get it to make.

Apologies if this message comes through twice, I sent it once before,
but from the wrong address.

I decided to try playing with cvs, but for some reason can't get it to
work.

I have evolution, gal and gtkhtml from Gnome CVS.
I do:
$ ./autogen.sh --prefix=/opt/gnome
Now type `make' to compile evolution

$make

and make gets itself all hung up in an infinite loop that prints:
/usr/bin/orbit-idl -I . -I /opt/gnome/share/idl `/usr/bin/gnome-config
--cflags idl`   \
        ./Evolution.idl
Error: Empty file

** WARNING **: ./Evolution.idl compilation failed

over and over again.

any hints?
