bonobo-conf was mentioned before bonobo-config (who dreamed up that bad
name anyway), so that is former, the latter is bonobo-config!  :)

Huh.  Jeff, I downloaded bonobo-conf from CVS, not bonobo-config.
Did I get the wrong stuff or is bonobo-conf an alias to bonobo-config?

it's bonobo-conf what you need. If I'm not wrong, bonobo-config is the GNOME 2
version of bonobo-conf, so you should use the latter
