TNEF strikes again. In their ultimate monopolistic wisdom Microsoft has
made Outlook/Outlook Express send TNEF attachments whenever you send
e-mail as type HTML or Rich Text Format. Basically Outlook will wrap
around attachments and e-mail message in this one big attachment. Easy
fix is for your wife to send you a message as Plain Text (haven't tested
it but that is how it is supposed to work) or there is GPL program
(download from Freshmeat) that can parse Winmail.dat attachments. There
is supposedly an option in Outlook to send a user only Plain Text
messages but I personally couldn't find that option :-(.

While we are at it I will ask the Ximian folks whether they would
consider incorporating this TNEF tool into Evolution 1.0. More on it at
