Sorry for the bad report, but the font aligment problem was due to
having used xfstt once - it left a wrong fonts.scale file.
However accentuated letters till do not show correctly in received mails
(they show OK in evolution own mails however). Do I need to set a locale
or encoding somewhere ?


What encoding do the offending messages report?  (I.e. the charset=
field in the Content-Type header.)
