Why can't it convert iso8859-1? I understand that it may not know
windows-1257, but iso8859-1 is a common encoding.
"iso8859-1" is bogus. it should be "iso-8859-1".
Yes, but there are lots of mail clients which use bogus charsets.
I think evolution should support all variations: iso-8859-1, ISO-8859-1,
iso8859-1, ISO8859-1, iso_8859-1, ISO_8859-1.
If I want to support windows-1257, should I add it to libunicode? If so,
whom should I contact?
No, libunicode is being deprecated. If you want to support
windows-1257, you should send us patches to use libiconv instead of
libunicode. :-)
Can you tell where should I look at?
