[Evolution] Attachment Icon bug (Was: IMAP e-mail has gotten very unstable recently)

This is a crash when drawing the little attachment-header icon in

That's kind of what I thought it looked like. I'm not convinced it
happens all the time (last night when I ran evolution-mail in gdb
to get a backtrace, I couldn't get it to crash for some time). Could
it be another one of those stealth upgrades to a stable library
(like
the recent ORBit deal)? I'm using the latest stable gdk-pixbuf, and
bonobo/ORBit/gtkhtml/evolution from Sunday night.

You're right--it's not limited to IMAP. I believe it occurs with
any e-mail with a vcard attachment. I was able to copy an e-mail that
had consistently been giving me problems to my Inbox, and it has a
vcard.
I had to copy quickly though before Evo died. Evolution
dies when trying to display the same message in my Inbox. I can send
it
to you if you'd like, but I doubt you'll have any trouble reproducing
it.

I believe this problem was introduced about a week ago, but I'm
not sure where to start looking for a cause. I don't know if I'm
missing the graphic that's supposed to be displayed or what.

I have/had exactly the same problem. Everytime Evolution tried to show
an icon for
an attachment it crashed. This seems to be a very strange bug.
(Its definitely not because you do not have the right pixmap).
I hope somebody at Helixcode will work on that.

In the meantime, just try to change you GTK-Theme .
For me, changing from the Eazel-Theme to
CoolIce worked out for me. Since I use CoolIce, everything works fine
again.
Could please anybody explain me why the stability of Evolution depends
on the choice of your GTK-theme??

Merry X-mas to everyone!!!!
