Scott also brought up a good point about a specific regarding the
release schedule and version numbering of 0.6.1 or 0.7.  I am personally
interested in 1.0.  What's the plan/status?

The FAQ on the website says:
When will Evolution 1.0 be released? 
                                       Later this year.
