test expuning a fair bit and let us know if the problems are still
there.  :-)

I'd love to test it out (noticed the expunge problem again today),
but right now Evolution does not compile.  Hopefully it's just
because the anoncvs mirrors haven't synced everything from today
yet.  I'll try again tomorrow.
