Anyway, try this:

killev
killall oafd
evolution-mail

[the last command will hang]

And then run "evolution" from another terminal, and do whatever you
need to do, and see what error evolution-mail prints (if any) before
exiting.

If it doesn't print anything interesting, running it under gdb ("gdb
evolution-mail", then "run") and getting a backtrace (type "where")
could give us good debugging info.

These were core-dumps good for ;)

If you don't get something like "core" or "evolution-*.core" <-- BSD-style,
then the "component" dies without an "significant" error (huh.. should THAT 
happen ;)
