Had that problem, got it fixed with the help of mathieu from #gnome-help
at irc.gnome.org.
You need to checkout gdk-pixbuf to compile from CVS and do this:
ALOCAL_FLAGS='-I /usr/local/share/aclocal' ./autogen.sh
