I've updated the INSTALL-notes in the 'gnome-3-4' branch according to the new directory layout. I've also built 'gnome-3-4' under current Quantal (Evo/E-D-S 3.4.3) and installed it. The backend processes start up alright, showing "kolab" as an available protocol, but Evolution still fails to start with [0]. Maybe you're in better luck. If it is the same for you, and you cannot build Evo/E-D-S and evolution-kolab from scratch under GNOME 3.4, then better wait for Release of 3.6. It will not have this issue.
