Hi,
thanks for the patch. You do not need to resend it on multiple places,
attaching it to the bug [1], which you did, is sufficient. It's even
better track there, than here on the mailing list.
Of course, it's easier to be noticed when it's a merge request, but I
agree creating a merge requests adds some burden, which is not needed
for simpler changes. Let's continue in the bug [1].
