Hi all;
I recently made some enhancements to my makefile to build Evo (and other
tools: libsoup, gtkhtml, e-d-s, evo, evo-exchange, evo-webcal) from SVN:
http://mad-scientist.us/evolution.html
It will create a new SVN workspace for each package if you don't have
one; update the contents if you do have one; then configure, make, make
install (into a custom area) everything in the right order.
It will also allow you to check for updates and even check for updates
with ChangeLog diffs.
I've been building Evo a few times a week for a couple of months now
using this makefile and it seems to work very well.
The new features allow you to use a branch or tag in SVN in addition to
the trunk (the default).
They also allow you to skip the "system prerequisites" check, which
currently only supports Ubuntu (implementations for other systems
welcome) and just proceed with the build with fingers crossed.
Hope this helps someone!
