Can't agree more, see my comment on that bug.
I took care that this bug is being reported immediately, after I helped
a user on IRC who suffered from this bug to work around this -- and by
that find out about the cause. I have seen another user stating the very
same symptoms just a few days before.
This is a *regression*, and I expect a *lot* of users getting stuck
here, if this goes live!
Remember: Hard Code Freeze on Monday. However, I am positive the RT will
permit a freeze break to fix this. Final dot zero release a week later.
