As a matter of fact the new behavior is a big usability problem, even
once you get used to it.
I often handle a folder with hundreds of unread messages by reading a
few dozen in order, with threaded view. Then I would "Hide Read
Messages" and the tree would refresh to show only the unread messages,
two mouse clicks total.
Now, the same action requires me to do "View -> Show Messages -> All",
"View -> Show Messages -> Unread" - six mouse clicks.
This is major usability regression.
