you can kill evolution before starting your conduit, but of course that
is not a good solution :-) Apart from that, if you modify the ics file
while evolution is running, your changes might get lost.

and as I said in my previous mail, there is no need to link to all the
gnome libraries, just the one evolution needs is enough, and that does
not include GTK nor any other GUI library. Of course, that's for
1.5.x/2.0 only.
