[Evolution-hackers] attachment pane

I'm a beginning gtk programmer and I'm wondering what kind of widget is
the attachment pane? What makes the attachments show up as icons? 
I'm about to start playing with drag-n-drop (file uploads) and showing
the files as icons is much nicer than using something like a regular
liststore.

Any help would be... well,helpful
