It isn't useful because nobody really uses IPv6.... because nobody ships
apps which are IPv6 enabled... :)

And because the IPv6 working group have lost their collective minds and
are abolishing the site-local addressing scheme which actually made it
possible to sanely deploy internal IPv6 networks for testing purposes
without having external IPv6 connectivity, and indeed which made it
possible to do simple network setups even _with_ external IPv6
connectivity...
