hello guys,
i just moved from kmail to evolution due to instability issues. now here
are the features I am missing:
When you select the folders, the message should be from, you should also
be able to select if you want to include subfolders.
Imagine following folders:
mail
personal
person a
person b
person c
person d
bulk
newsletters
mailing lists
and you want to create a vfolder that shows personal mails from this
week. you just select the personal folder and check the subfolder
option, and then you don't have to add message source folders if you
create other ones for new contacts.
my second request would be a filter field correspondents (or another
name) which would be the sum of the recipients and sender. Would be
really useful if you want to sort your mails in a chat like manner
(mails from and to a person in a folder).
There should then also be an entry in the context menu for creating
filter "from and to xx xxx xxx".
It should also be possible to filter mails against contact folders and
groups. So a kind of "if recipient is in contacts"-filter (same with
sender and of course "corresps"). Or "if recipient is in group xxx".
This makes it easy to sort mails into contact categories by just moving
contacts around or adding them into groups.
In the future, it should be possible to create a vfolder as subfolder of
a mail folder with a button in the quick search toolbar.
to have for example:
mail
person a
this week (from this week)
project a (with keywords in it)
to create a such vfolder, you would simply search for something, and
then click on an icon "create vfolder as subfolder".
what is your opinion about these features?
greets.
