Re: [evince] Missing glib-2.0 in configure script to install Evince

evince 3.0 and forwards (last is 3.16) run on gtk3, if you want to keep using gtk2 either use evince 2.32 (unmantained) or atril from the mate-desktop, which is a fork from evince 2.32 and it is mantained by mate.

Do you have the 'libglib2.0-dev' package installed?
That 2nd-to-last line of output suggests that the configure script is using 'pkg-config' to find things, rather than looking directly in /usr/bin.

The glib dev package installs some pkg-config files (eg /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/pkgconfig/gio-2.0.pc) that might be what it's looking for.

Hi guys,
I have some trouble trying install Evince 3.17 in Debian Wheezy (I don't know if are possible due to dependencies).
The last 2 lines output of ./configure is:
checking pkg-config is at least version 0.16... yes
configure: error: glib-compile-schemas not found.

glib-compile-schemas is in /usr/bin/ (symbolic link to /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/glib-2.0/glib-compile-schemas)
My PATH have both paths to /usr/bin and to /usr/lib/:
My PATH is: /usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/
usr/local/games:/usr/games:/usr/lib/:/usr/src/:/usr/include/:/usr/share/:/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/:/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/

but the script not recognize. What do I do?
