Hi all,
I'm using Xfce 4.8 under Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS GNU/Linux, with kernel
3.2.0-29-generic and Evince (GNOME Document Viewer) 3.4.0.
What I'm trying to find out is: where/how is Evince remembering window
locations and sizes?
- Xfce does not remember this information. Source: empirical and
http://wiki.xfce.org/faq#window_manager
- The "accels" and "print-settings" files in ~/.config/evince/ do not
remember this information.
- My system has no ~/.gnome2/evince/ directory.
- I noticed that Evince starts the gnome-settings-daemon. However, after
I've killed that daemon's process, Evince still knows about the window
locations and sizes.
- I've used find to locate all files with "evince" in them and non of
these files seem to store the data.
- I've used grep to search for a PDF filename in all files on my system,
but got no results.
Again, my question: where/how is Evince remembering window locations and
sizes?
Best regards,
Norbert
