go to specific page number

Is there a way to go to a specific page number instead of a page label?
Right now, if I do

  evince -p 10 thesis.pdf

it goes to the page labeled "10", instead to the tenth page.
First few pages are labeled "i", "ii", etc.

I'm trying to do a "forward search" from my latex files to the pdf file,
but I need evince to go to the absolute page number.
