Document Viewer won't load pdf upon first try

Evince Team,

When I try to open a pdf file in Document Viewer, I get a large 
"Loading" message that is displayed indefinitely.  I then close the 
viewer and try to open the document again, and it loads instantly with 
no problems.  This problem happens consistently in both 32 and 64bit 
versions of Hardy Heron.  Do you have any idea why pdf documents won't 
load the first time they are opened?  It's not a security or stability 
bug to have to open a document, close the viewer, then open the document 
again- but it is a major headache after working with a lot of PDFs.
