Hi List!
I scanned a book and created a pdf from it.
Its simply alot of JPGs combined into a large PDF.
I noticed that in evince the images do not look as sharp as in
a.) xpdf or
b.) the picture-viewer
I uploaded a screenshot at 200% zoom-level which shows a few words
from this textbook i scanned.
http://img148.imageshack.us/my.php?image=evinceou5.png
from top to bottom it shows:
a.)xpdf
b.)picture-viewer
c.)evince
a and b look identical but c is more blurry.
There is one thing though.
While xpdf and the picture viewer were both set to 100% zoomlevel that
did not work in evince because in evince it was nowhere near the same
size when i set it to 100%.
As a result i had to use fit-to-width and adjust the size manually by
resizing the window.
Maybe this blurring is intentional?
Regards
Sascha
