Image is surrounded by a red glowing halo

Hi,

I am generating pdf reports using JasperReports (that in turn uses
iText). Both tools are FOSS written in java.

If I include graphs in these reports and view them in evince, I get a
"red halo" around them...
If viewed in Acrobat Reader (either Linux or Windows), they look perfectly
clean.

Is this a known issue ?
What other information should I give to sort this out ?
