Fat fonts, no antialiasing

I have a problem with viewing PDF made in Scribus. It works fine in Acroreader 7, Adobe Reader 7 and even Evince from Ubuntu 6.06 but in Evince from Ubuntu and Xubuntu 6.10 the fonts are ugly - fat and without antialiansing (the gnome has antialiasing turned on).
The same is in kpdf and xpdf. Don't know if this is a problem with Evince or maybe with Ubuntu or this pdf...
