* What is it ?

Evince is a document viewer. It primarily supports pdf, though it also
djvu, tiff, dvi and postscript are also supported.
More information can be found at http://www.gnome.org/projects/evince/
Note that this version of evince currently requires poppler from CVS.
When poppler-0.4.0 is released, you should be able to build it against
that.
