Xan: Thanks for that link and explanation. That makes sense that the GUI has no means to enable it right now, but I gather that it is there. Is there another non-GUI way of enabling it until you create a check box or similar?

It's not enabled by default, as you can see in
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=637021
Hopefully we'll fix this for 3.2.
