Seed Extensions - Adding to Editable Toolbar

I'm trying to add a button to the "Editable Toolbar" but have no idea
what I'm doing :)

I can get EggEditableToolbar object, but after that I've been
unsuccessful in doing anything with. Is there any documentation on this,
or can anyone give me some pointers as to adding a button to the
toolbar?

What I want to do is provide a button, with name and icon, that the user
can then add to their toolbar where they want it, and connect the button
pressed signal to my call back. Any help would be appreciated.
