Hi,
It looks like it's not me, but Debian. The epiphany-browser-data package
containing the schemas is at 2.26.x, as is the epiphany-gecko package,
while the (parallel installable) epiphany-webkit package is at 2.27.x.
Since the open_new_windows_in_tab key has been introduced in the 2.27
series, I didn't see it in gconf-editor.
Anyway. Patience. :)
