I suppose you're talking about favicons. :) Epiphany supports these out
of the box; however, a lot of sites have implemented favicons in a
non-standard way that originally was compatible only with Internet
Explorer.

Epiphany developers have chosen to follow the official specification
but have made available the "Favicon fallback" extension for those who
want to see favicons from web sites that use IE favicons. Simply install
Epiphany-extensions and enable the Favicon extension in the Tools >
Extensions dialog.

That's an old and unsupported Epiphany release, please consider
upgrading to 2.22.3, the latest stable one!
