The icons are loaded from the current icon theme. You can change it in
the GNOME Themes preference window.

Epiphany auto-completes URLs from history entries, you can see that when
you enter something in the address entry. However, there is no 'recently
visited sites' menu in the browser UI itself at the moment, you'll have
to use the History window for that.
